Savannah Damon

Managing Director

As Managing Director, Savannah is responsible for building out DFTD’s strategy for promoting an improved environment for freedom of expression and viewpoint diversity at Davidson College. She will reach out to students, faculty, the administration, alumni, and Davidson donors to help strengthen the College’s historic commitment to educational excellence through critical thinking and open, civil debate on controversial issues. She reports to the chairman of DFTD and works closely with the organization’s board. 

Savannah has a strong background in community outreach and coalition-building and a deep passion for protecting free speech. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC, where she subsequently earned her Masters of Business Administration degree. Before joining DFTD, she was a research analyst at the Senate of Pennsylvania and earlier worked as a consultant on Congressional and state Senate and House political campaigns in Pennsylvania.
