Emily Koons Jae

Emily Koons Jae is Vice President of Development & Philanthropy for the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA). She leads ACTA’s development team, communicating the organization’s mission and work to an expanding circle of donors who are passionate about reforming higher education. Ms. Jae joined ACTA in 2019 as the director of our Fund for Academic Renewal, a program that helps higher education donors design, monitor, and evaluate transformative gifts that meet their philanthropic objectives.

Ms. Jae came to ACTA from the Jack Miller Center, where she worked on the center’s academic programs, communications, and development team.

She holds a B.A. in history from Davidson College. After spending a decade in Philadelphia, she and her husband currently live in Washington, DC, with their young daughter and middle-aged dog.
